Poise Aviation Academy began not as a business idea , but as a calling.

In 2018, Iknit used to deliver guest lectures to spread awareness about the aviation industry at various renowned institutes. Weeks later, she was contacted by a group of students whose institute had suddenly shut down, leaving them confused and helpless about their future. They searched for her online, found her on Facebook, and reached out in desperation in Bangalore.

Initially, Iknit was unsure how to help, as she did not have a dedicated space to train them. However, one student shared something that deeply moved her:

These words changed everything.

Moved by their trust and situation, Iknit took a courageous step. She rented a small co-working space in Bangalore and began training the students in 2018 ,charging only a minimal fee to cover basic expenses.

Within a few months, every student who completed the training got placed.

Those students encouraged her by saying:

“Ma’am, you should start your own academy.And we ( Students and I ) all Started Poise.”

The name Poise came from her own airline training days, where her trainer often used the word “poised.” It stayed with her. She decided that every student she trains would become poised , confident, graceful, grounded, and globally ready.

From the beginning, Poise focused on a practical, industry oriented training approach rather than just theoretical or book-based learning , this is what truly sets Poise apart.

Today, eight years later, Poise Aviation Academy stands as a powerful brand built on trust, service, and transformation. Its students are now working across airlines, airports, hotels, and the hospitality industry, reflecting the strong foundation and real-world training they received.
